A loved one passes away.

We’re solving that problem.

Clarity for the people left behind.

When someone dies, families face immediate costs, locked documents, scattered information and a slow probate system, at the exact moment they are least able to cope. Solemn changes that.

“The afterwards deserves the same care as everything before it.”

Solemn was built because of what happened to one family. Read why Dale Newman started building secure digital legacy and estate planning infrastructure after losing his grandmother.

Founder’s Story
What Solemn protects

Everything that holds a family together.

The things that actually matter when someone is gone, kept safe and ready to reach the right people.

Your will & documents

One verified version of your will and key documents, so there is no confusion and no conflicting copies appearing later.

Messages & wishes

Personal messages and final wishes, delivered to the right person at the right moment, in your own words.

Your trusted people

The guardians you choose are verified and held in a clear chain of trust, so the right hands hold the keys.

Financial support

Funds set aside in a trust structure and allocated to specific people and purposes, available for release upon passing.

Critical information

Accounts, passwords, instructions and the practical details loved ones would otherwise spend months chasing.

Your digital legacy

Memories, photos and social and digital media drawn into one lasting profile that family can return to for generations.

Security & verification

Trust you can see, not just take on faith.

Solemn is built so that your most private information stays private until the precise moment it should be shared, and only with the people you named.

Encrypted at every layer

Your data is protected with end-to-end encryption, so it is unreadable to anyone it was not meant for, including us.

Verified identity

Every guardian completes identity verification before they can ever be trusted with access.

Role-based access

Each person sees only what you assigned to them, never the whole picture unless you choose it.

Controlled, audited release

Access opens only when verification conditions are met, with a clear record of every step.

The people you trust

Real people. Real trust. Real protection.

Solemn exists for the people you love and the people you rely on, the guardians who will carry your wishes forward with care.

Frequently Asked Questions

Digital legacy and estate planning, answered.

What happens to my online accounts when I die?

Without a plan, your online accounts, subscriptions and digital assets can be frozen, lost or left inaccessible to your family for months. Solemn lets you record what exists, how to find it and who should have access, so the right people can act without a painful search through your private life.

What is a digital legacy?

Your digital legacy is everything you leave behind beyond physical possessions: your will, important documents, account details, messages, wishes and the financial support meant for your family. Solemn brings all of it into one secure place and releases it only to the people you choose.

How is Solemn different from a will?

A will decides who inherits what. Solemn handles everything around it: the practical, emotional and informational burden your loved ones face in the first hours and days. It stores your will alongside your documents, messages and instructions, and releases them instantly to verified guardians, so nothing is delayed while probate runs its course.

Who can access my information after I die?

Only the guardians you name. Access is role-based and identity-verified, so each person sees only what you intended for them. Nothing is released until a death is verified, and every release is logged and audited.

What happens if someone falsely reports a death?

Nothing is released on a single claim. A death has to be verified before anything unlocks, and the release runs through layered checks rather than one person pressing a button. Every step is identity-checked, logged and audited, so a false report cannot quietly trigger access. If something looks wrong, the process holds rather than opens.

Is Solemn regulated?

No, and we are deliberate about why. Solemn does not hold your funds directly. Your money sits with regulated partners and trust providers who are built to safeguard it. What Solemn owns is the release logic, the verified, encrypted layer that connects everything together so the right support reaches the right people at the right moment. You get complete oversight of the process without us ever touching the funds ourselves.

Can I leave financial support for my family?

Yes. Solemn lets you prepare financial support so the people who depend on you are not left waiting during the slow, stressful weeks after a death. The support you set aside reaches them through verified, controlled release.
